Great start to the season. Both great races. Checa was sure on a mission that 2nd race, good for him.

It's amazing how Spies won straight away on the Yamaha and Toseland and Crutchlow barely rounding out the top ten. Unless everyone just stepped it up this year. Gonna be a dog fight to the end. No cake walk for Haga. And who said the Kawi was a turd? Sykes and Vermeulen both looking good on the Kawi or maybe its just their amazing riding ability. Roger Lee Hayden on the other hand has a lot of ground to make up. He finished race 1 1:11 behind the winner and race 2 1:07 back .

Did anyone tally up a list of Toseland excuses and complaints?

The comentator Steve Martin, former WSBK rider, says the difference WAS Spies.

Toseland is a great rider but he won on years that the talent pool was more like a puddle and he had the best ride....

ps: Ben Spies (14 wins) has just about as many WSBK wins in one Season as Toseland (16 wins in 7 seasons) does for his entire time in WSBK .
