It'd be easier to get all the crap off the bottom of the pool when empty also...might be the way to go just for that depending on how much is there.

Drained it, cleaned the liner real good, filled it up, and It was ready to swim in 2 days

Call the water company before filling, they'll give you a water meter for pools at a different rate
