it gets below freezing at night several times a year, but rarely in the teens, and i dont think for more than 24hrs since ive been here

oh, and i think some equipment failures probably for the nat gas plants (im thinking frozen values)... cold temps i think also means lower pressures, which means less output

and for the green energy, which is a very small percentage anyway, they dont/didnt winterize so they had equipment failures

in a nutshell, a lot of the plants go offline in the winter for maintenance since the peak demands are summer because of A/C
