i would have to slow down a bit sometimes to avoid contact and that would kill my drive so ya timing was a factor

Allowing you to maintain a little more corner speed and carry that into the draft for a pass.

Might need to time the drive so you catch them at, or a little after corner exit.

Because the bikes are so close, timing is everything, cathing someone on turn entry may not be what you need.
