Default MINIMOTO!

MINIMOTO <--- clicky

I know nothing about these things but I got my hands on an italian minimoto; a polini 910 carena s 6.2hp water-cooled 2-stroke.

It’s about 6pm and I just got home from work. I’ve got about 45mins or so before sundown to make this video. After I put everything together, mixed the gas/oil, I took it to a parking lot for her maiden ride.

I keep looking around for cops, I don’t want them to confiscate my new toy. I should be okay since this swimming pool parking lot is closed for the season. I pre-load the combustion chamber with a couple of pulls and fire it up, letting the motor warm up for a few minutes before riding so I don’t ‘cold-seize’ the engine. While it warms up I rush to get my gloves on because the motor might stall. That’s when I realize I forgot to bring my helmet (gear nazis, no ‘squid’ cracks please).

I brought my little red handheld GPS to see how fast I go (26.2mph). I slowly head out to scrub in the tires and begin with the first heat cycle of the engine.

THIS LITTLE BUGGER RIPS!

(you’re not getting your 7 mins back…)

My friend at the E-town pocket bike practice was gunned by the Old Bridge popo at 52mph on his little PB. My NSR50 was only able to hit 47mph.

We will be back on the track for the next practice on 10/28 and 11/4.

Come on out and have some fun......it's only $30 for the day.
