it still accelerates... the problem is that you could consider it a one mile drag race. You've got to have good launch, maintain traction, hit your shift points, etc.. Yancy's looses over 10% just from slip on the top end. It's not easy pushing these things through the air...
no room for a flying mile... as is you have to make a turn at the top of first gear, then after you pass the traps (mile mark) you've got to be real hard on the brakes the turn off is only about 6-700 ft later and turns about 120 degrees... you can run long though where the run way narrows to about a 10ft wide strip of crumbling cement with loose gravel/dirt on both sides...
(yea some people do get scared off from racing there... )
