Ronin, yes, a lot of people camp there. I was just there with NESBA this past weekend and there were a couple dozen people camping either in tents or motorhomes.
There is power there, but it's limited. I had a 5500 watt genny, so I was good to go.
If you want to stay in a motel, there is a Motel 6 in Cranberry, one exit down the turnpike (heading east) from the track. It's on 19 south and the rates are 49.95 a night for one person. I used to live there, so I prefer to stay in Cranberry.
Lots of restaurants and shopping. If you have time, go to Monte Cello's! Great pizza joint!
Have a great time! I'll be back there in October with STT

I just grabbed a room at the Motel 6, thanks for the heads up. Paying $85-90 per night is getting old in a hurry for a simple motel. Especially with a two day track event, three nights minimum if you want to get any sleep at all.
With the 9 hour drive home, the third night is almost a must.

about the 3rd night, i was thinking of heading back sunday night. mapquest says it's only 6hrs back to jersey taking i-76 all the way back.. bad idea?
i can't wait! looks like a fun track!

Thats what i like about going out there is at least the room is cheap. I usualy bring the GF along so I am not even splitting the room with anyone so those 90 dollar plus nights add up. I am going to suck it up and head home sunday since i have to work monday afternoon

I am hoping to have the parts I need for my TZ250 that weekend. Looking forward to running that over there. I like the layout of Beaverun, smooth and quick. For a small venue, it rides like a bigger track.

Ronin,
I make it from the burgh to jersey in like 5 and a half hours going on the turnpike and traveling the whole way to Wayne NJ. Just thought I'd give you the heads up. But I only stop to piss and get gas the whole way. Not a horrible trip nothing like heading down to VIR.

Thanks. We're going to plan to head back on Sunday. It shouldn't be too bad since I have someone to alternate driving and no traffic to deal with.
