Default surviving bike theft (or lack of)

In my mind, only one model of my bike was made. Everytime I see a bike the same color and model as mine I think it's mine and that the guy riding it stole it from me!

I'll never get over that, will I?

Racial profiling would probably help a little. But no, I don't think you will.

I like the way you think, I just have to make sure I have a garage before I get another bike.

If someone walked up to my bike and started checking out my VIN. i'd tell them to go fuck themselves.

It will pass however the slight paranoia seems to stay with you a little longer. I had 2 bikes stolen out of my garage a couple years ago and I am still overly cautious in many ways.
