Ok... someone, ssplain to me what a bot is  (example, I have someone on my AIM list *real person... that is listed as a bot)

A bot is a computer program that acts like a person. They're mainly used for spamming but AOL probably has like "movie bot" and you can message it like "new movie releases" and it will tell you what they are.

BOT, short for roBOT. They also have them for chat rooms on IRC to manage and operate channels when noone else is there.

I guess my question was, this one person on my "friends list" on AIM shows up as a bot, but I know it's a real person. When I log on a different name, she shows up "normal".... could it be like an iggy thing?

You probably clicked and dragged them into the bot group on accident. Just change their grouping.
