aight cool ... um do i need a windows disk.. cause the 1 installed on the p/c that is broken is xp pro... and i dont have another pro disk.. and i know i have a windows xp home .. somewhere around my house... but dont have a clue where it is.. ima give it a try wen i get home .. thanx alot.. i really appreciate it ...

You shouldn't need any disks, it refreshes the original software that was stored on the registry on the hard drive.

Go to download.com and download Spybot, SpywareBlaster & LavasoftAd-Aware. Update and run them at least once per week.

i cant even get to the safemode screen where i can enter anything in ...

it just looks like it load up the DRIVERS and brings me to where it says safemode in all 4 corners .. but it is a black screen and cant enter anything .. its almost like it freezes right there ... so i guess another 1 bites the dust
