I had a Scandi-Pacific trailer that came like that, I used Trex decking lumber for the deck and it worked out great. Weatherproof and durable. I just went to the local lumberyard and got a color that didn't sell well and they gave me a good deal on the Trex.
Good Luck Ken |
here ya go. heres some. drove it around town for a bit to be sure it all dont break apart, when i got back home i took the bikes off and went over all the bolts again.
http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k2...Picture006.jpg http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k2...Picture007.jpg http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k2...Picture008.jpg http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k2...Picture009.jpg bought these (wheel chocks) for the trailer to. no dice on them, my wifes bike it to low and hits front bottom front of the fairings. samething with mine to, the sharkskins are lower to and also hit them. worked fine on the others so i'll sell them for $200. both brand new, i just put one together http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k2...Picture012.jpg http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k2...Picture011.jpg http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k2...Picture013.jpg and here it is, all folded and put away in my garage. out of harms way :D http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k2...Picture010.jpg |

I have to admit, the title of this thread makes me immediately think "redneck", "hillbilly", etc etc.....at first glance
lol lol |
should i adjust the rails.? whereas i put the center of the bike over the center of the axel or it really dont matter.?
heres a picture of the trailer with 2 bikes on it and their moved back where the center of the bikes are over the center of the axel. http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k264/John0217/f.jpg and a picture of mine now. http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k2...Picture009.jpg |
Nice rig Johnny, for the price and easy storage it's tough to beat.
I'm assuming you have plenty of room for all your track gear in the truck? |
the guy with the 2 cbrs has his front straps way too far forward. if those rear straps go, the bikes will be doing endos
|
John, you want the wheelbase pretty much centered over the axle, but about 2in. forward.
Those cbrs are strapped kinda ok, the center straps are too far forward, the front-sides are ok. NOTE: all straps should pull FORWARD. John, with the rear straps pulling back, if a front strap loosens, the back straps will pull it away from the chock and then, it will fall to the side. If they all pull forward, and any one lets go, the remaining straps are still pulling it into the chock for stability. John, your trailer wheels look like 12". |

FACK again i though u were talking about something different. but the rim is a 12" but on the tire it says 20.5 x 8-10

what i'll do is move it 1 link back which would be 1 link forward with the 2 CBR's so my straps arent to far forward. you think that should be good.?
