should i adjust the rails.? whereas i put the center of the bike over the center of the axel or it really dont matter.?
heres a picture of the trailer with 2 bikes on it and their moved back where the center of the bikes are over the center of the axel. http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k264/John0217/f.jpg and a picture of mine now. http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k2...Picture009.jpg |
Nice rig Johnny, for the price and easy storage it's tough to beat.
I'm assuming you have plenty of room for all your track gear in the truck? |
the guy with the 2 cbrs has his front straps way too far forward. if those rear straps go, the bikes will be doing endos
|
John, you want the wheelbase pretty much centered over the axle, but about 2in. forward.
Those cbrs are strapped kinda ok, the center straps are too far forward, the front-sides are ok. NOTE: all straps should pull FORWARD. John, with the rear straps pulling back, if a front strap loosens, the back straps will pull it away from the chock and then, it will fall to the side. If they all pull forward, and any one lets go, the remaining straps are still pulling it into the chock for stability. John, your trailer wheels look like 12". |
