When my CC's were high I played the balance transfer game between ones I already had and got them down to a few hundred bucks. My student loan is my only other debt I have now and I am overpaying on that just to get that out of the way too.

definately get rid of the higher int credit card first, that will make his credit better since its a revolving account.
