Default This is not where I parked the car last night

Last night was fun. I woke up to my GF screaming that somebody hit my parked car (WTF???)... Well the idiot was nice enough to leave their front plate behind, and parked around the corner, so finding the culprit was pretty easy. As you might have guessed, drunk as a skunk.

Damn Jeff that sucks! Thankfully you caught the a**hole that did it. Now go and collect under their insurance for the damages...not yours.

That sucks. Hopefully you'll luck out at they will admit to driving. I got sideswiped by a drunk woman, but because I didn't see her and she wasnt in the car when I finally caught up to her, so the cop couldn't do anything. Of course, it didn't help that she had no insurance, the car wasn't registered, and everything. So, the only thing they could do was impound the car, which clearly she did not care about.

Anyways, good luck, that looks like you got a good shot in the ass...

From what I have been told, it is nearly impossible to give this person a DUI since they could have imbibed after getting home, or at least that is what their scumbag lawyer is going to say.

When you get the accident report, check to see what summonses were issued.

I had a similar incident, but it was 5-6 hours after the guy hit my car before someone gave me a plate number. I ended up having to press the charges on the driver myself for leaving the scene of the accident. PM me if you have questions on this.

Well it totally sucks about the car, but I normally have my bike parked in front of the car. However they are doing some repaving this week and we were sent a notice to have the parking lots cleared out by 8am, so the bike is in the backyard. How lucky is that??

Second, the cop was smart about how he asked the questions, and at first did say it would be difficult to a) place HER (yes, btw it was a chick) behind the wheel, b) prove she didn't drink anything once she got home, etc, etc. The somewhat good news is she admitted to EVERYTHING, and said she did not drink anything else once she got home. Whether this will hold up in court is another matter, but they were at least able to arrest her and take her to the station for a breathalyzer.

She is going to get hit with 5-6 tickets, including DUI, leaving the scene of an accident, careless/wreckless, etc. My guess is she might not even be 21 yet.

The car is pretty screwed up all around. I really wish they would total the thing, but I highly doubt they will. sigh
