Default Calabogie Motorsports Park APPROVED!

On July 28, 2006 the Ontario Municipal Board approved the Official Plan Amendment and the required zoning to allow for the operation of Calabogie MotorSports Park. The Alan Wilson designed facility is the largest track in Canada, and the first of this scale to be constructed in more than thirty years. TrackCorpCanada is pleased with the decision of the Board, and will be commencing paving operations immediately. Projected opening for the facility is September 29th, 2006.

track looks disgusting, lots of long dragging sweepers and big hairpins and straightaways and a few kinks, what more could you ask for besides a jump
... hey, thats a good idea

Looks like fun challenging course, hopefully they do something about those tire walls running right up to the track in the runoff areas.

TPM is runiing a 2 day event there in October. I am playing with the idea of going up there. The full course is what's supposed to be on the table. My concern is weather. Linda is saying that TPM will be needing some sort of turnout for this in order to get a weekend reserved for 2007.
Anyone else thinking of heading up there?

YES, I had that miserable experience at Pocono East April 8th of this season. Ice and Snow cancelled the day.
