Default WTF were they thinking?

Saturday evening about 7 PM, I'm eastbound on 78 in the Bedminster area,
on my way home from my brothers house.

As I'm approaching an underpass, I come up on FIVE (yes 5)
State Trooper patrol cars PARKED in the fast lane of Rt. 78,
with another patrol car off in the grass.

What could be so bad as to require the assistance of six of
New Jersey's finest? Not to mention blocking the fast lane
of a major intersate highway? What you ask?

A sportbike. Nope, not several. Just one.

Maybe I missed something, I don't know...
But all I saw there, other than several officers standing around
doing nothing other than block the highway, was one sportbike.

Not a crashed sportbike, it looked fine, just sitting there,
on the sidestand, with the lights on. All by itself. Doing nothing.

I didn't see the rider, so I'm guessing he was in the back
of one of those cars. Oh well, I hope it wasn't anyone I know.

Most likely a runner, or with everyone running all the time lately they wanted to make sure they got him.

I remember one story about the troopers that blocked off all of RT78 just to get one guy running. Dumbass ran from the cops with a yellow gsxr, yellow helmet, and a big corona leather jacket at 3am. I wonder how hard it was to figure out it was him when they did the road block.
