Interesting. I'm really kind of glad American companies are going out there and building sportbikes again and not just over priced billet barges. They need to make these more affordable though.

Eric Buell must be furious, all his bikes need is a better engine (VROD) and lots of guys would be all over his bike.

The carbon fiber bodywork, Ohlins suspension, Brembo brakes and Marchesini wheels contribute to the estimated price of $39,995.

1130cc V-Twin and all it can manage is 120hp and 75 ft/lbs, not to mention 425 lbs DRY weight. Not to mention that at the heart of it is still an oil-leaking achilles heel of a Hardley motor.

NOOOOOOO, thank you. For that price I'll take a 1098s with all the fixin's, have money left in my pocket and still blow that things doors off.

Sure this bike is expensive, there are faster and cheaper bikes out there, but you have to hand it to them. It's an American-made sportbike and they going where many American manufactures won't go.

If an American manufacturer, put out a sportbike that performs, is reliable, stylish, and competively priced, I sure as hell would think about it as an alternative.

Don't go mentioning Buell either. Nice frame but powered by a cowfart from the 1970s.

Roehr is unfortunately about 5 years too late and 20k over priced with this one. Nice idea, but I would take 2 1098's instead.

Gee, I can think of alot of other ways to blow 40 G's away.

Let's see...

Aprilia RSV = 14K

and

Ducati Paul Smart LE = 14K

and

GSX-R 1000 = 11K

or

BOTH of these bikes and still have enough dough left over for a weekend of hookers and blow!

This one's a bit higher up on the toy cashola scale, but it's worth every penny...and it's 100% USA.
