Default **UPDATE** 8/7 Ride for Kids - Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation

http://www.ride4kids.org/hudsonvalley/index.htm

Saw a poster for this ride. The above link brings you to the event for the 7th in the Hudson Valley.

It's a worthy cause and we should all do our part and ride for a cure.

Anyone interested?

Ride Information

Meet location: Mobil Gas Station/Dunkin Donuts on Rt. 32 in Central Valley, NY.

Meet time: 8:30 AM

Stands up: 9:15 AM SHARP!

Please check the above link for directions to the elementary school, and the below directions to the meet spot.

Directions to the meet spot:

When you get off Thruway Northbound exit 16 you will proceed through a toll booth. After the booth you will exit immediately for Rt. 32/Woodbury Commons. Continue to the top of the ramp and make a right at the light on to RT. 32. You will drive past the elementary school where registration is taking place and continue appx. a 1/4 of a mile and the Mobil Gas staion (also has a Dunkin' Donuts in it) will be on your right.

Since registration will be ending at 9:45AM we will have to adhere to the stands up time!

Please PM me for my cell # in case you need to contact me.

Hope everyone can make it.

Bry!!! :wave2: I haven't gotten much street riding in either, with all the track time I'm doing

Right now my bike is down and getting repaired. Hopefully I'll have her back this week sometime. If so, we'll try to squeeze a ride in

Sounds like a great cause. I'm in. Any suggestions on how to approach coworkers for donations? or is that just something you shouldn't do?

You're not required to collect donations in order to participate in this ride

Whatever the cost is for registration the day of the ride is considered a donation anyway.

Talk to your office manager and ask them if you can post it in the office. My company matches contributions to charities. The way we collect it is have a jeans day, where you pay $5 to wear jeans for that day. This way we get a casual day and you get to support a good cause.

I think I'm in for this one, gonna post it on some of the other forums.

I'm not sure of that Oscar. The route is usually handed out at registration. I would assume it's going to be anywhere from an 80 -100 mile ride, most likely a loop.

I'll be posting up the meet location and time later this week. Hope you are able to make it!

I won't be checking the board much after tonight, especially with the WCW ride on Saturday. Whoever is interested, please post up and PM me your cell #.

Back from the charity ride. Had a great time! We rolled 300+ deep with a police escort the entire route First time I could run red lights and not worry about the man pulling me over

Also ran in to an old friend, Jamieson! Great to see ya!

Thanks Ken (Gear Dog) for coming out to the event. It was great to meet ya and I have fun on the ride back. Hope we can ride again soon!

I know that there were pics taken, so post em up when you get a chance!
