Of course the other car always has to be a piece of shit to begin with, can't ever be anything nice and expensive. Similar thing happened to me, 9 months after picking up my brandy new Acura Integra GSR I got hit by a 1980's Ford Escort wagon that was falling to pieces years before the accident. Unfuckinbeleivable, can't keep anything nice these days, some asshole always has to ruin it, hopefully your injury's nothing major.

she said it has something to do with gieco and NJ, i forget the legal jargon she used, but said there is a clause in NJ that if it a PA or NY driver who gets in an accidnet in a non commercial vehilce, that i can olny sue for vehicle and medical expenses. im calling gieco now.

What kind of threshold clause is in your policy? In the Coverage Selection Form you received in the mail on page 5, what did you pick as your lawsuit option? Lastly, which tort option did you pick as well. There are some loopholes and I rather talk through pms please....I don't need to read anymore one-upper stories about how everything that happens to everyone else seems to happen to this one particular person tenfold....thanks...

In NJ there is a clause for verbal and nonverbal threshold. Non verbal you can sue for pain and suffering.

Hope everything goes OK for you.

NJ is a no fault state... im sure u can sue at some point or another, im not well versed in NJ insurance law... however--- since u really arent hurt that badly... i.e. no broken back, no reason u'll be wheel chair bound, etc etc... u wouldnt have got much more than maybe 2 or 3 grand...

The state of New Jersey has damn near run out all the insurance companies with their freakish laws.... the federal govt actually had to use an act of congress to get alot of companies like Geico and Progressive to even sell in the state.... it sucks bro... to much fraud from NJ and NYC cuases this kind of crap-- Just dont take payment till your ready... the minute u do, the claim is closed and ur up shit creek...

p.s. im an insurance agent so u can call tell me who wrong am and blah blah blah but i do this for a living, thanks.

thanks for the advice guys. all this is giving me mental stress!! as hector said, i believe she said something about " non-verbal threshold".

and as smokes said, NJ is a " no fault state" which makes no sense. i hate legal loopholes, what a bunch of shit!
