Glad I grew up when I did. This sucks, though I'm sure there are ways around it. What a terrible decision given today's economic status. I'm all for safety and whatnot, but the kid who says he's not going to be putting motorcycle parts in his mouth sums it up. I've never once heard of a kid or ANYONE hurt or injured this way. Maybe start by cleaning up the lead paint that can still be found in old buildings and homes, at least that will provide jobs instead of taking them away.

Furthermore, are recreational vehicles technically considered "toys"? I mean, I call mine that, but I wouldn't put them in the same category as powerwheels and bigwheels. There comes more responsibility and care and respect IMO.

Liberals always say they are about "freedom" while they are busy restricting it.......

I care. I looked to see if I could find this posted. Didn't think to check under the bill's name. But yeah, what a crock of isht.

Guess it's better to have kids fat and lazy in front of the tv where they are nice and safe playing xbox for 15 hours a day than to have interest in the great outdoors building confidence and character.

Isn't there more danger in the science classrooms where we (at least in my schools) had teachers with huge blocks of lead on their desks or in labs where we all took turns handling it to take note of the weight or it's softness? I'm sure there were times I didn't wash my hands after handling that. I have NEVER licked a motorcycle or tried to eat a piece of the frame.

The AMA fought to get helmet laws dropped but never thought to fight this one. Just another reason I'm not a AMA member.

Well they are sort of on it but not really...there are tons of other organizations fighting it.. we'll see what happens but for now all those bikes and oem parts are pulled from the shelves/floors of all dealers.
