Default F4I headlights look out dated. Any suggestions?

Ok, So I love my bike (2006 CBR F4I) but the one thing that I really dont like are the headlights. They make so many aftermarket headlights for cars, why not bikes? Maybe Im just looking in the wrong places?

If I cant find new ones, I was thinking of blacking out my existing unit. I found a recipe for this online for a car, but Im sure it would basically be the same. Here are the instructions.

http://www.members.tripod.com/megatr...es/Page338.htm

I really would not prefer doing this though. I wish they made some type of headlight that looked nicer. They have not updated the headlights on the F4I in years and years and to me it really shows.

If all else fails pick up a competition upper, install whatever headlight styles you choose including HID's, and work your magic, you can have a completely custom front end, but don't black out the lenses cuz they might reduce the amount of light output for nighttime riding.

All I know is bad things start to happen down the road once you mess with lighting. Can lead to nothing but headaches.

You can black out the surround but NOT the reflector. Then add HIDs. Otherwise the F4i is still based on a 2001 design, its older, oh well.

hey thats the whole reaseon why i got the euro upper for my RC. I would say check eurobikes but there shipping time is fuckin horendous!!!!! You can also check out headlight decals, which cover your original headlight but they still work fine. Had that on my RC and had no problems before i replaced the upper. The flame decal is pretty cool, i think. And its a cheap improvement over the 1300 bucks i spent.... check here

any pictures with your lights on at night. I'm actually interested in knowing how much light those block out. I love my single headlight on the F4... I hear a lot of people complain about the light, but it lights up the road fine for me. I personally don't like the 01+ headlights much either.

I think I will probably stick with what I have. I can deal with it, especially since I will be trading it in for either a 2007 or 2008 600RR. It all depends on how the 2008's look like.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone!

Since the 2007 is an all new bike, the 2008 will just have BNG.
