Advice.....look into taking the MSF (Motorcycle Safety Course) It is the best money you will ever spend for yourself when it come to riding!!! CBR Bob on this Board is an instructor and I'm sure he has the info where you can take the course.

No, I got it from Mark's girlfriend? Craig's list. I think his user name is saxon? Anyway, I gotta get plates and insurance and registration and uh nj inspection. I wonder how I will pull this shit off without a motorcycle license.

Welcome to the site. Lots of great people and information on the site. Definitely look into that link CBRBob posted. You get to use their bike, pass and you'll get the voucher to bring to DMV to get your license(I think thats how it is.) I suggest not riding your bike until after taking the course, or bring it to an empty parking lot on a Sunday to practice(after you get all the paperwork squared away of course.)

and welcome to the site! I took the MSF class in Oct 2006 and started on a Ninja 250. Great bike to learn on!! I've since graduated to a Yamaha R6S.

Cold weather under armor helps, non vented gloves. Can also look into those tight things you put over your head with the face cut out.
