Power Race pressures
what temps do you suggest for power race, ive heard 31 front 24 rear.. now is that hot temp or cold temps. cause ive recently heard that dot race tires should be hot when checkin pressures, whereas street/track tires should be taken cold. any one have any insight on this?

I still don't understand how this "new phenomenon" is coming about. With all the testing and advancement with tires in just the past 6-7 years, this info is just coming out now(as in this season?)

It's not a phenomenon. Car guys have been checking hot pressures for awhile. Makes more sense to be honest since the tire is hot when you are out on the track.

I was being facetious, lol. I mean just last season we were all setting our DC SC1&2's at 30/30(or whatever) cold. What changed from last year to this year to now its "No no no...you have to set them hot now."

I guess pressure goes by word of mouth, used to do mine 31/32 cold last season, they still set them about 30/30 cold when they still change the tires. After a good run the pressure seems to shoot up 5 - 6 lbs. Bike still works on those pressures, just when I drop them to 30/30 hot the bike feels so damn better. I noticed on higher pressures the bike seems to change direction easier, but at full lean the tires feel like they're skippin or sliding on the pavement. 30/30 hot the bike just feels like it digs into the corners. Also the tires seem to wear a lot bettter, don't get those huge rubber chunks anymore. If I mix up the tracks between ones with a lof of lefts (east), with ones with lots of rights (summit), I can get about 4 - 5 days out of a rear tire.
