I had a Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion.
It was c4-5 c5-6 and c6-7 on Jan 7th.
I was in the hospital for 2 days.
They put in a titanium plate and pins, which will have to stay in for life.
Here is some links on it.
They replaced 2 discs with synthetic ones.

I thought I was doing great until thursday when I had to start
Phy Therapy. I am going 2 days a week for now and I guess im not
healing as well as I thought I was.
I wish you the best of luck with healing.
Are you still in a lot of pain?
When was your done?

i did not have a fusion. had the systhes pro-disc C artificial disc. (still a mobile joint) i had it done 2 weeks ago today and feel great...........no neck brace at all, barely needed pain meds, and no pt. i saw doc today and all is well, except my right arm still goes numb and tingly after 5 mins in a car. It is very hard to get this procedure through insurance , but i was hurt at work so comp was inclined to pay for it becuase it is supposed to leave me less disabled in the long run.
if you have an questions feel free to email me @ paulbochner@yahoo.com
good luck to u
