Default Kangaroo vs. Cow 1-piece leathers

(just an observation) I heard Kangaroo was lighter than Cow but I was simply astounded at the difference in weight between the two. While at WCW I held a Vanson 1 piece with full armor in one hand, and a Kangaroo 1 piece with full armor in the other. In doing so the Vanson felt like it was 100 pounds. I believe Kangaroo would provide better overall bike performance at the track regarding sprung weight, handling, and lap times, but what about protection? Has anyone crash tested Kangaroo yet?
