choosing rearsets

i'm looking to buy a set soon... but there are so many to choose from..

which ones would you recommend? avoid?

what do you look for when choosing a set?

i'd like to get a set that are fully adjustable since i'm not sure exactly where they should be set for my height / riding style. i'm 5'6" btw.

after looking around...i'm leaning towards the woodcraft rearsets, mainly for the price, and it looks easy to buy parts in case anything brakes. they look sturdy too and can be standard or GP shift. it doesn't say GP shift on most sites, but i checked directly with woodcraft and they confirmed it.

$309 for the complete set.

Price/quality/readily available changeable parts/and what the ends look like. I personally like the Woodcraft, has everything mentioned and the ends are machine notched lip that helps to keep your foot planted when pivoting. Some pegs have a smooth end which I personally don't like. Keeping a spare set of pegs in the tool box is also wise.

I use woodcraft. I like the fact I can probably find a replacement part at the track and I can also use my stock pedals if I need too.

Plus they are TOUGH!!!

You did mention that you want fully adjustable and the woodcraft's are not. They are one position only...

woodcraft, plus u can find parts for them at the track just in case you have a mishap. strong, reliable and like ralph said, you can also use your stock peg to.

the woodcrafts are not adjustable & if you're planning on putting them on your street bike you might not like that cramped riding style for long rides...

FYI, on a track bike, Woods. You want Sato or whatever adjustability and fold up pegs, use them on a streetbike ONLY. They will NOT hod up in a crash. Super adjustability means lots and lots of holes in them. That means they are WEAKer compared to Woods. NON fold up pegs also act as sliders in a crash. Ralph and I have seen enough crashed bikes with the 'pretty rearsets' NOT pretty anymore. We have also seen Woods get ugly or bent but either bent back or rebuilt so the day is not lost.
