Thumbs up Switching to State Farm insurance...

Well, I got my motorcycle quote today, $917 for full coverage for the year. Seems a bit higher than some of you others guys but its still better than what Rider was going to be this year, $1500+. I'll save $600+ on this switch so I'm jumping for joy with State Farm. If I add my car, it will go down quite a bit.

Oh, I used the cloest guy to me. Just searched for him on their website. I'll have to check with Marker01 and see if I got a good deal.

Just be aware they'll be calling you later to refinance loans, mortgages, and other types of insurances. I just switched and got a "courtesy call" to refinance my car loan at a higher intereste rate. Yeah, I'll jump right on that.

I don't like SF...they secretly added my step-father to my policy and wanted me to pay $3600.00 a year for my 2001 Eclipse. FUNK THAT!!!! Got a quote from GEICO, and saved over $1,500.00 per year....as for the bike...Rider's got my back!

Default good choice

Had them for at least five years...had a few claims (crashking - lol) and they always work with me in mant great ways. they also do m/c loans at great rates that include life ins! shameles plug...I have a great broker in West Orange (I now live in South jersey and still keep them). They are no relation to me but their great service deserves a plug.

Default my rates

04 gsxr around 400
03 rc51 around 450
& my cbr1k bfore it was stolen was also 450

I feel my car rates may not be the best alaround but I was only paying about 2.5k for a Saleen Mustang.

(Im 37, they might have a 25yr old limit on bikes but not sure)

Sure under 1K is good per year but $272.30/yr for full coverage on my 04 GSXR600 is WAY better. Even if you didn't like SF, why would you spend ...say...$600 to $700 more a year if you didn't have to? The $700 you save a year will buy you a few track days, a full set of leathers, 2 sets of tires, a brand new Arai Corsa or many other things.

If you like wasting money....send it my way....I have a wedding to pay for in October and I need everything I can get my hands on.

Sorry missy, but when it comes to numbers, they aren't opinion. You'll be even happier possibly saving up to 50% or more per year, and they'll even give you a discount if you choose to write the bike and the car, and at your age you need all the breaks you can get. PM Marker01 on quotes for you and Mark...prove yourself wrong.

Also, its not just about the # you get quoted per year, need to look at what that cost per year is covering. The ins co I was with before was 1750 per year AND their pay out break down was 15/30/5, which is fuggin CRAP! Amazing how SF got me 639 with a coverage break down of 100/300/50...I was like Be sure to read the fine print people.
