Which tires?
Well it's time for new tires what do you guys reccomend for a moderately quick rider, main use on the street might get it out to the track once or twice next year, but the majority will be on the street, I've been told the Pirelli corsa 3's are awesome and I've heard the battlax bt014 are good too what do you guys think? oh yeah and it's for an 06 R6

here are some excellent tire choices, all of them will do more that fine for street and beginner/intermediate track use.
1. Pilot Powers 2ct and regular
2. Diablo Corsa III
3. Dunlop Qualifiers ( i am running a 2nd set on my bike and they never let me down, on the street or track).
All of the above tires will exceed your needs.

All i've run is the Dunlops that came factory on the bike, alot of guys up here say that Dunlops suck, I personally haven't had any problems with them, I am a noob but I have leaned the bike all the way over numerous times and they have performed good enough for me, but I wouldn't mind trying something different, I'm really leaning towards the Corsa 3's. does anybody know how the corsa's compare to the Dunlops in the Rain? I am on Vancouver Island we get shit loads of rain.

I liked pilot powers, but I really liked bridgestone bt002 racing streets. Course I also went from a 190/50 rear to a 190/55 so I'm sure that helped. But better front end feedback from the 'stones.

Same here.
The DC3's are OK in the rain, the front tread pattern is designed push the water out of the way for the rear. Then again I've run Super Corsa's (race tires), with no tread patten to spread out the water, on the track in the rain without any issues. Granted I was not setting a track record but doing a decent pace.
