tire question

Ok before everyone rolls their eys its nto the typical tire question

I am looking ot get another set of pilot powers for my 2 week marathon (5 track days in 10 days) now with this recall is there a possibility it will take longer to get the tires if I order a set and any possibility some place will send me a recalled tire.

I would think that any reputable vendor is going to be aware of the recall and not only restocking but returning any affected tires. (I have 2 sets in the closet that fit the recall)

From what I've gathered, Sportbike Track Gear has the non-recalled Pilot Powers in stock. I just got a set a few weeks ago. I think their stock of Pilot Power 2CTs are on the recall list, though, as a friend got a set of the 2CT that were on the list. Give them a call, pretty sure the regular PPs from them are ok.

Sportbike Track Gear is a Michelin distributor, not just a dealer- they're the #2 distributor in North America, actually, so they've got fresh tires and plenty of info to answer any questions you may have. To my knowledge, they're not handling return/exchanges- that needs to be done locally.

Done, thanx for the heads up. I saw them for a few dollars less on comp acc or oneof those sites but I wanted to know that I will get them in a timley fashion and that theyre not recalls
