Default '05 Ford SuperDuty Diesel Pickup vs. '05 Mustang V-8 in the 1/4 mile

I was watching some truck show where they were running both vehicles heads-up in stock form and the Diesel beat the Mustang on every one of the three runs by about one to two truck lengths! The average times were about 14.25 for the truck and 14.65 for the Mustang...

That wasn't a stock truck - Truck Universe on SPEEDTV
They were talking about a new ECU controller.
Big power gains at the expense of fuel economy.

That's really primarily for the 03-04 model year engines. They seem to have fixed a lot of the problems from 05 up.
