Default Went the track today

Back all safe n sound, didn`t get out on track till 12 because of ice, but they ran 2 groups because of the few numbers. When we went out it had damp patches especially coming round water tower into Druids. (Oulton Park England) See link......

I had faith in the racetecs and left them on, the track mostly dried off you just had to keep your wits about you at druids. Had a bit of a wobblegoin over white lines but what else can i expect when there wet. I`ve said it before and i`ll say it again, RACETECS are ace!

Was playin with a guy who runs in the new era club races, and the highlight of the day was when i `did him` round the outsideof island bend. (he mustn`t be very good) Lol. and a bloke who was on a ZX-6R who might join up here if he remembers.

No 2 strokes there yesterday but, i`ve seen plenty other times.

On the running side of it, it goes like this.......

They usually split the people up at the booking stage into 3 groups, Novice, intermediate, Fast. Yesterday because there where only 2 people in Inters they just moved them up into fast. So we got 30 mins sessions instead of 20 mins.

7.30 Arrive and sign in
8.30 Riders briefing, general crap what flags are, what condition the circuits in etc
9.00 First group out (Fast/Inters)1 sighting lap led by an instructor no overtaking, then free for all.
(Novice) First session is all no overtaking led by an instructor, to get people used to the track.
9.20 Second group out usually Inters
9.40 Third group Out Novice
10.00 Fast Group out again 20 min sessions ensue as earlier, always 1 sighting lap for the first lap. Thats how it continues until 1pm when you break for dinner.

Then same again till 5 when you finish and pack up.

Theres 2 instuctors out with each group, each time on the sighting laps(S) one leads + one at the back. Then they just mingle and wave you past etc.

If theres a stoppage your brought back to the pits while the injured person is picked up, then aslong as there 7 or more minutes left your let back out til your time is up.

When your times up they wave the chequered flag and you do a last lap and pit in at the end of it. If you fall off you make sure your bikes off the track and then get the hell out the way, when the session finishes you and your bike are picked up and returned to the pits, you get your wrist band cut off, (which you have to show each time just before they let you out on track) and have to go see the medical peeps. If your fine they sign you off and you get another wrist band back, then away you go to fix ya bike up with gaffa tape and get back out.

I think thats it....... Oh yeah there was a photographer i`m waiting for the disc in the post then i`ll post some up.

Cool. Thanks for the writeup. Did you miss having to re-tech the bike after a crash?
