Default scam or not???

so this was the add on craigslist,

http://cnj.craigslist.org/mcy/300340901.html

and below is the e-mail i got a few minutes ago!! my question to the post was how can a bike with the amount of miles and the year and being a 1200, could only be 4k, so i got my answer below!

Hi,

Thank you for your interest in my bike.
The bike is in absolutely perfect condition, no scratches, dings, dents
or other imperfections. Always garaged. Clear title.
Price is $4,000 if you buy now.

Firstly, I need to tell you that I recently moved to Amsterdam, Netherlands
due to work and family. Since I have no more relatives back home, I brought
the bike with me thinking that I could register it here.

However, because of the big differences between the US emissions and the
local ones, I can't register it without spending a fortune.

Shipping will be done via Lufthansa Cargo and it will take no more then 10-12 days.
I have a friend at Lufthansa who will manage me a low price shipping..I ll cover the fees.

I ve also done bussiness through eBay and I ll like to finish the deal
through them for a safe deal for both!

Let me know your thoughts!

1. Find picture of bike on intarweb
2. Advertise bike for close to nothing
3. Sell to sucker
4. Enjoy big American money in Nigeria.

similar thing happened to me from a bike trader add w/ almost similar wording in the e-mail that was sent to me. told him good luck on selling the bike. if it sounds to good to be true 9 times out of ten it is!

if your that interested in giving away money though you can send it to me.

seriously, my advise is stay away!

Same story. 5000 for a year old V-Rod. Asked my guy to sign up for an escrow service. Told him I would pay the fees. He went away.

Haha, scam. Super definetly scam. I saw the same ad (I browse CL habitually) and giggled. The wording in every scam is the same, and so are the propositions. Don't even waste your time emailing him.

I guarantee you guys some wealthy American banker is probably the man behind the first Nigerian scam... It absolutely HAS to be a lucrative business to be in, you know? Think of how many suckers there are with more money than common sense.
