Has a real throaty sound, much louder than stock. Same performance.

So you are saying there is no gain to this mod? No plus-side?

Without putting it on a Dyno I couldnt say. I cant feel a change in power. Sounds much better. However, the heat created by the undertail STOCK pipe is much greater, less heat means a cooler seat. So Id say my girlfriend loves it.

Well I'm sure the new setup saves some weight, and from what I've read about that system the pipe is ceramic coated internally and the inside of the undertail is lined with a heat shield so that's probably the bonus you and your girl are feeling heat wise. However I'm not too sure if they tune those pipes for each bike, or just manufacture them to fit...

This one was installed by Powerhouse Honda in Metuchin, NJ. They tuned it there.

they don't have a dyno...so i don't think they tuned it with a dyno...they probably just threw it on...my bike is getting fixed there now..which where i bought it..they do a good job on putting bikes back together..but they can learn a few tricks of the trade when it comes to other things...I heard someone who actually got it tuned at the place in roselle..JDS cycle..with the hot body kit...they actually lost power with the pipe...not sure if it was a high end or low end loss but there was a very minimal loss after the slap on mod..

I hope they gave you a warranty with the installation. The couple times i had to deal with that place i wanted to take a gun to my head.
In fact everytime i go for a part there they don't have it. So i go right down the street to Action Yamaha and get my honda part.
Atleast at action they have a friendly staff that actually knows things.

True, and the parts guys at Action will work with you on pricing. I always check online pricing first, and they always match.

Those HotBodies don't offer ANY performance. They do however sound a shitload better then the stocker. Nice and clean look too. I went with the Arata and never looked back........................
