Default Battery Tender

Just a dumb question here. I seem to have gone through my 2nd battery tender. (Deltran) while looking for a replacement I was wondering if there were any significant difference between them. I have always used the battery tender "plus" but noticed it was more than the Jr. Any drawbacks to using one over the other?

The first one was run over by my last roomate, and the 2nd one I think went bad. The charge light never changes to 80% but when testing the battery it shows a complete charge

They prolong the life of the battery and not having to worry about a dead battery is never a bad thing.

The difference between the two models are the number of charge modes they have. Usually the larger ones have 2-3 different modes for fully charging then trickle charging a battery while keeping it connected at all times till it's time to ride. Sometimes the smaller ones need to be disconnected once the battery is fully charged.

I have the junior, it automatically switches from charge to trickle. I leave it on the bikes all the time, no problem. It's chaeper and all you need, so don't believe the hype!

Thumbs up

I use the plus, but I know people who use both, either way a tender is the way to go.
