The Gix had a built SS motor, the R6 was stock.
The better graph was last years R6 vs. this years R6. This years is down as much as 20hp most of the rpm range until about 10k where it pulled even. Then past 12k it was +4hp to redline. So most people, most places will be faster on the old bike.

the gixx had to have been tuned... and the yam needed tunning... no way should the hp be so wavy throughout the rpm's when the smoothing is set to level 5...

and they should have run the numbers as SAE corrected instead of STD...

As long as both were dyno'd the same way shouldn't matter though. They'll both read high(er).

true, but with all that smoothing it def shows that the yam was waaaay outa tune...

just had a thought... is it one fo the new throttle by wire systems??? hmmmm
