Default Trying out my camera mount

It's not pretty but it's my first attempt.

- yes, I don't rev the bike out that much, well, not on that ride anyway
- the black triangle at the bottom of the picture is from my screen.

It's a Panasonic FZ-20 mounted on a ram mount setup that's attached to a Telferizer in-steering stem mount. I'm going to raise it up a bit I think, and maybe back a bit.

Camera: http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/pa...ew/index.shtml

Steering stem mount: http://www.telferizer.com/

Anything RAM will then fit as long as you're using the 1" ball sizes.

Hey so basically your camera is an SLR with video capture ability?
The quality is really good especially after youtube compressed the shit out of it.

Use the whole lane mate.

Yeah, it's DSLR (not quite but that's basically it) with video capture. It has a 12x zoom and will capture as much video as it has space (unlike some cameras that limit your record time) at 640x480. I'm thinking about putting some rubber between the camera and the mount too just to take out some of the vibes. I'll get the camera on when I'm in the mood to go a little faster some time, I doubt it'll impress anyone but at least you'll hear the bike over 6k rpm.

Not bad! Try using Livevideo instead out Youtube - better resolution...what kinda software are you using? I use Windows Movie Maker but when its time to process the video I usually choose the small but high quality format *.wmv and I keep it less than 15 minutes...

Here's my collection (notice the difference in resolution and mounting locations as the videos got more current):

It would help if your camera has some stabilizer option to get rid of the jitters..

I have a mac at home so I just threw that together in iMovie in about 1 minute. I'll try uploading it somewhere else to see if it looks any better. I'm also going to clean my screen and put the camera in a better spot next time (probably this weekend).

The camera does have optical image stabilization (as opposed to digital which is the chips in the camera trying to calculate away the jitters for those that don't know) but I'm not sure if it works with the video mode.

Are you doing the "camera in the helmet" thing in your most recent? There's no way in hell I could do that, unless my head wasn't in the helmet at the same time and that's not going to happen.
