I used to keep mine at the Self Storage Plus in North Bergen..right down the block from my house..it's on Tonelle Ave (1&9) and 82nd street.....I paid about $100-110 a month..don't remember and I don't remember the size..but it was perfect fit for a bike.

no never...I had it in there for maybe 6 months...my ex also used to keep his bike there too for a while...he never had any problems either..and they'll also try to give you a room closer to the door so it could be easier to get your bike in and out..I think they might've changed the name to Storage USA.

Just make sure you know everything about the storage place, and they know what your putting in it. Some places have problems with flamable liquids be stored (gas in the bike).

Also most of these places aren't 24 hour access. Thats what stopped me from using one. I could only get the bike out and put it back when the damn place was open.

If you don't have any luck with a storage center, check the star ledger classifieds for a garage to rent. Mike and i found one for $100 a month behind someones house in the Home News Tribune.

Good Luck

get the smallest size. the one i had was about 4 feet wide, 8-9 feet deep, and 10 feet high. it cost me about 70-80 per month. first month was free...or $11. they were running a special. those places are ALWAYS running some sort of promotion like that. if you don't mind filling out the short paperwork and want to save some money, you could move it every couple months. some promotions require a minimum 2 month stay...like you pay full price first month, second month is $11. I didn't do that cuz I had a bunch of stuff in there that I didn't want to keep moving around.
