Default Tragedy Strikes NY Finest....

This is sad and stupid and shuold have never happened. There is so much more to life than riding and unfortunately these two young men found that out the hard way.

RIP to that officer and his family. Bless his 1 & 4 year old daughter who are now without a father.

Some report that there were words exhanged at a light and the chase was on...ending up in a tragic loss. This is real peeps...be safe out there and be smart when riding.

My question is:

How did the Jeep catch up to that bike...looks like a '06 R6...did Concepcion brake in front of it thinking it would swerve or bring the jeep to a stop!?!?!?

I dont know...but that kid is in a heap of trouble right now...

This pisses me off even more...

Fucking asshole was a FF, and this douche goes riding drunk, abuses his fucking light priveleges, and runs down a fucking bike?

On my FD, one guy displayed similar stupidity... used his blue light to "respond" to his girlfriends house to pick her up. He was immediately kicked off. No telling what he might have continued doing with that light.

I hope he gets hit for the max on EVERYTHING. Prick shamed the name of FF's everywhere.

No, people need to be responsible for their own actions, and learn the penalty for stupidity. Kid was reckless, abusing everything given him, drunk, and running down a motorcyclist....

Fucking life, though I'd prefer the death penalty.

Damn that sucks, more than likely the fuck cut the motorcyclist off and got cused out. I hate to read shit like that, however I get the feeling that if he hadn't killed a cop then he would have gotten off with a slap on the wrist. I feel for his family in these trying times and hope that justice is done.

yea cucullin, it's terrible that someone feels that they can abuse their power or privileges, especially even to other comrades in a similar field of work. i feel terrible for his daughters and family.

Acually a Saddle River First Aid Squad member. You would think he would have seen the effects of driving drunk enough to not do it himself. Although my Firehouse has the same kind of idiots who abuse the blue light and drive drunk too. Do the crime, do the time. Hope he goes away for a long time.

*nod* seen my share of those idiots too. Considering the volume of accidents, yeah, you would think they might... think. But they don't.
