Thumbs down SquidTV

Right now, I'm watching: http://www.speedtv.com/programs/454/

Not impressed. Seems like a bunch of hooligans on two wheels to me.

Bring back TWT!!

Yet again the NASCAR channel has managed to screw up. First off sport bike riding is NOT an urban culture. The Biker Boyz opening segment for the show screams lame and leaves me cold. I was tempted to turn it off then and call it a day but I was bored enough to sit through it.

Did the program show the sport bike culture in a positive light? No. When idiots write editorials like this one http://pppannoy.blogspot.com/2006/06...ithout-10.html you can see the similarity of why’s he pissed and what is being shown on the TV. If this is how sport bike riders are to be portrayed to a public that doesn’t know better then were all screwed.

Did it show anything of interest? Yes. It was nice NOT to see stretched out Hayabusa’s sporting massive rear tires and custom paint jobs that only see the street when being loaded on a trailer. A street fighter is always a thing of beauty; maybe not aesthetically, but in the work that’s been put into it. Even a rat bike can be a thing of beauty if done correctly (er… not a complete piece of shit).

Will the show last? Not bloody likely. I think the NASCAR channel is going about killing any show with sport bike subject matter completely from its line up. I’m surprised “Corbin’s Ride On” was allowed to have a segment on track riders before the “Super Bikes” show. Reason being is that simple segment was vastly more enjoyable than “Super Bikes”. Once the ratings come in and they find no one is watching it and it will be scraped from the line-up. SpeedTV will walk away with “Well, we tried” and that will be the end of it.

I could have cried that show sucked so bad. Although I had to laugh at the "RATS" with their flat black turd bombs

I'm going to go out on a limb and say I liked it, particularly the segment about the Irish street fighter customizer. I don't watch Speed much and I'm not a wannabe racer fan boy so take it for what it's worth.

have to agree with Vin, the street fight thing was kinda cool except for the gay helmet with the head lites sticking through.

They won't understand, man. We ride naked bikes.

I don't like the helmet headlight thing either though.
