Here is Sasha my Pit mix. When we got her they told her she was some kind of terrier that would only grow to about 30 pounds.
Well she is 70 pounds and 5 years old. Loves to play and is very protective of my two kids, but she is a big baby.

Here are some of her when she was 3 and 5 months old. She wasn't really stocky but had huge paws.

My dog doesn't look like that....my mom thinks he is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier. This is a link I found that has what my puppy looks like

When we first got her we searched all over trying to figure out what she was. I've heard she was a straff /american pit mix, american / lab, even some greyhound might be mixed in. When I lived in the city we hit a lot of dog runs and were able to compare her to a lot of breeds. In the end she was ours and it didn't matter what breed she was.

Same thing with my dogs. When I adopted the black one all they knew was her mom was a Rott mix and she looks very similar to a lab so I just go with rott/lab. And the same with the chihuahua, I'm pretty sure he's mostly pure chihuahua and a hint of like a jack russel or something nutty like that, he's a jumpy, bitey, bird chasin fool.
