car wreck at pocono, 5/6 - Sportbike Addicts

so did anybody notice the three wrecked cars over by the fence at pocono during the TPM day sunday? I heard the story the night before from Michelle. She instructs trackdays and autocrosses for those four wheeled types, and was working that day. So she jumps in with this guy, who was a bit erratic and is trying to work with him. He is driving over his head so she tells him to back off and he gets passed by a guy who she later finds out is a friend of his. After getting passed he takes off after the guy, who winds up wrecking, and even with all her yelling the guy she's with heads straight for the wreck. At that point he tells her about his camera, and that he wants to tape his friend!
(Another vote for no cameras for us)

So wait, let me get this strait. Dude that was filming decided to go off the track because his buddy crashed and he wanted to film everything? I really wish they didn't add the music but we all know something musta been said between him and Michele that they wanted to cover up. At one point you see her look back as if he told her bout the camera. He should of never went off the track unless he lost control. If this is how it all went down, he should be blacked listed from the track day org and not allowed to run with them. Bad enough there was a wreck, no need for another car to be off the track endangering himself, his passenger, and anyone else.

Wrecking a $10,000 bike is one thing, wrecking $40-$90,000 cars just for track day thrills is rediculous...what a mess.

Hopefully his own video can be used to get his dumbass thrown off the track for good. The way she was struggling with him on the steering wheel should've never happened, they're lucky they didn't get rearended.

Yep, the asshat was filming, and at about 46sec you see her look back in shock when he tells her about the camera. I love how he cuts in with the music so we can't hear her go off on him. She told me all about it Saturday night, then monday morning BillAce emailed me the video link, and later he emailed her stuff from an evo forum, then it just snow balled!
oh yeh, the asshat with a camera went to Watkins Glen the next day (sunday) and was kicked off the track for, well being an asshat of course!

Omar,
I posted this same question on the TMP forum. Wonder if this will force a re-evaluation of the grid policy when running Pocono East?? Pocono FUSA, Beaverun, VIR North all have protected grids, East course at Pocono and to a degree the North course are not protected from this type of get off.
That would suck bigtime to have been sitting on the grid and get wiped out when sitting on your bike minding your business. Not to mention the potential for injuries. Surprised that this hasn't happened before to this extent, a touch of over streering and whammo.
This will wind up becoming an insurance nightmare for those involved.
