Thanks for the links I've never see the Wall Street one.....I don't know what I would have done I'm not in that position. There probably isn't anyway around it other than to be cut throat it's true. But as you can see from the video people can only go so far McCain being one of them.

Great.... This Muthafucker is gonna take another $10,000 a year from me on top of the $25,000 the Feds already take.... but at least I'll loose my healthcare for the "Free Clinic" "quality" Healthcare in return

I'm gonna fuck somebody up if this cocksucker gets elected......

Let me preface this by saying I am not an obama supporter and will vote against him just because I don't agree with his tax policy or the extreme environmentalists that are tied to his party.. I also don't like to play robin hood or believe in wealth distribution.
Saying that...
All this talking about socialism.. let us not forget that this recent nationalization of banks, the 2 biggest mortgage companies, and the one of the biggest insurance companies is happening under a Republican administration.

Also, no matter who gets elected, their hands will be tied behind their backs due to what has come into play over the last 3 weeks. They will be inheriting the largest national debt ever along with this new, almost trillion dollar bailout.
Taxes will go up for everyone no matter who is elected..IMO...It's what happens on top of that which scares me.

Yes
the President is a Republican and possibly a weak one, but the House and Senate are Democratically controlled since 2006 and that is what is very important to remember. They make policy and law as well as fumble around and do nothing when things need to be done like the inaction about the warnings about Fannie/Freddie. Listening to Masshole Barney Frank explain the meltdown of the Fannie/Freddie is apalling.

Jase
I'm not closed minded. I think that this can happen anywhere to anyone. Howard Stern who I am no fan of picked this place to do this.

I fully believe that it would have worked out exactly the same if done in reverse anyplace else.

I believe firmly that people should invest some time into the process of voting and understand their candidates and and what can happen by simply throwing a lever in an election booth. I have always considered it a priviledge to vote and maybe some of the crap they teach in school nowadays might be better put aside to allow kids to become a little more educated about the government around them.

While suturing a cut on the hand of a 75 year old Texas rancher whose
hand was caught in a gate while working cattle, the doctor struck up a
conversation with the old man. Eventually the topic got around to Sarah
Palin and her bid to be a heartbeat away from being President.

The old rancher said 'well, ya know, Palin is a post turtle.' Not being
familiar with the term, the doctor asked him what a post turtle is. The
old rancher said, 'when your driving down a country road and you come
across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that's a post turtle'

The old rancher saw a puzzled look on the doctors face, so he continued
to explain...You know she didn't get up there by herself, she doesn't
belong up there, she doesn't know what to do while she is up there, and
you just wonder what kind of dumb ass put her up there to begin with.

In the interest of helping establish a strong base for the free market years back it shouldn't have been any sort of big surprise by today that this ideal would include the world market, which in that case is far from socialism. However it's difficult for anyone making well over a half a million dollars a year to determine tax rates for the larger percentage of a nation who's income is far less than that, and any attempts to further mend it is either socialism or democracy. Damned if you do, damned if you don't...such as life this situation is about moderation, it's not a sprint but a very long marathon, and we all need our chance to catch a breath and keep the pace. One of the only good things out of this horrible mess are the fuel prices, which seem to be trickling down to what their actual worth per barrel was in the first place.

holy crap that's a good one...
and yes, you could do that same thing with voters who think it's as easy as choosing the "red or blue team"

the lines are blurred between the parties these days....
Bush is all over the place trying to please too many people. Our "leaders" aren't really leaders anymore. They are busy FOLLOWING what the vocal minority wants.

If you look closely at some issues, Obama is closer to Bush than McCain is
Amnesty for example: Obama voted WITH BUSH FOR illegal immigrant worker amnesty and guest work programs. see Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act of 2007 (voted down by republicans and dems)

and McCain leans more to the left with some environmental issues... see "Cap and Trade". he was quoted something like, "who cares if global warming is proven or not, isn't it a good idea to keep the air clean?"... more of a reasonable, middle of the road position. He's not one to close forests, etc

extreme in either direction (right or left) is wrong.
With Pelosi and other democrat controlled branches of gov't... put Obama in the driver's seat and we are screwed.

We already have WAY too many people want the government to take care of them... that 's NOT what our government is for. Didn't work for Cuba, Russia or even Canada.

McCain is much closer to being someone who wants to keep the gov't out of my wallet and out of my life

You want Obama's government run healthcare and other failing social services?

Quick story:
My retired parents just got back from a vacation in the Canadian Rockies.
My father spoke to people up there and everyone told him the same thing...
taxes are far higher than in the USA (for now) and while they get "free" medical care, they wait 20 weeks to get a cat scan.
Easily accessible, privately run cat scans here in the states saved my dad's life because he caught his cancer soon enough. If he had to wait 20 weeks, he'd would not be around.

Looking into it further... Washington (as an example) is overrun with Canadians going there for MRI and CatScans
