Thing is we don't know what was/wasn't damaged besides the wheel, but I might be inclined to believe that one front wheel might cost more than the rest of the damage done to the bike.

Come on....he highsided his bike, it flipped, landed on the front wheel and it broke.

What would be the reason behind a lawsuit??

The wheel shattered after coming back down from a high side, wheel rupture was not the cause of the accident.

The cost alone of that busted wheel brought a tear to my eye.

That is a friend of mine and there will be no lawsuit that I know of. Shit happens as we all know. Both the front and rear wheels are being sent to BST to be analyzed. He will be back on the track in 6-8 weeks.
