Hold the upper and lower race fairings together mainly, but can be used for other things too.

Honestly....the only difference between the 2 types (Rivet or Slip-on) is the ease of installation and individual preference.
Slip-on....You only need a drill (preferably a unibit) and a few more minutes of your time...(Quick Installation)
Rivet....A drill as well (preferable a unibit), a rivet tool and some rivets. It takes a little bit more time to install but it's a professional looking application. The fasteners (Rivet Receptacle) does not move around and it's a nice clean look.

By the way...The hole size for the rivet hole is 1/8. I use Aluminum 1/8 Rivets...3/8 Long.
I also sell a bag of rivets for a buck ($1)....enough to do two sets of the Rivet Type Fasteners.
