So I've come into posession of one of, if not the funnest toy I've ever had. Just wanted to share 'cause I know we've got some moto nuts on here. Because of this thing, I've decided to finally make the push. I'm selling my Virago so I can pick up a motard or dual sport...probably going moto though.
It's an 04 CRF50 frame, chopped up to accomodate all the goodies. The motor is an OGM 120 coupled to a 4 speed standard/cluth bottom. I'm not sure the size, but theres a big old carb feeding it, as well as a front mounted oil cooler to keep her chilled. The exhaust is just the stock pipe, modified and stuff so it comes out undertail style. It's also freakin' hollow - loud as hell. The tires are Pirelli something, I don't know what model but they stick like glue to the road and they actually aren't horrible in the dirt. I've been riding it 50/50 - even little dirt/mud hill climbs and it's eating them up. The hardest part is that it has no front brakes...at all. So all stopping is done with heavy downshifting which is a chore to master in the dirt/rocks with street tires. Makes it that much more fun. I paced it today to Matt C's 08 675 and he said it almost hit 50...I think with a little tinkering it'll go faster. Man is this fucking thing a blast.
