Doing tire marshal again this year.
Yesterday didn't get off to good, I was rear ended by a F-250. The more i look at the damage the more I want to cry. Pictures dont tell much but my entire towing bar that's welded to the frame (I though it was a bolt on) when I bought the truck, But its bent downward. All 4 doors sag (drop about a inch) when I open them. The driver side door is the worse and the truck was hit from behind. both quarter panels are buckled up and the bottom of the 2 doors for the back passengers are sticking oiut. The rear hatch wont open. and the truck rumbles at 70mph. I cant get my spare tire out for 2 reasons, I can open the hatch to turn the chain to drop the spare, but then again the entire tow bar is bent against it. All the plastic panels inside the truck are buckled up. When I was looking at the damage after practice day a guy right across from me, works at Dempsies or Jempsies AutoBody in Malaga, he looked at it with me, and said its not good, yup not good at all. Now what that means I dont know and didnt ask lol.
I was trading it in for a new truck myself, went to ford and they were going to give me $27k for it, and after a quick KBB search Im lucky I will get $14,500 now. This really screws me up on the type of truck im getting now.
But the AMA event was pretty good, got to see some dry and wet laps with Bostrom running a 1:20.915 i think it was. But it was the high 20's. Ill take more pictures today..
