coming around the bend into the Lincoln Tunnel...reminded me of 9/11..but on a way smaller scale.

Warehouse Blaze Ignites Along East River
(05.02.06 - AP) — A warehouse on the East River went up in flames early today, as firefighters battled to control the blaze from land and boats.
The fire in the three-story warehouse was first reported shortly after 5:30 a.m., and it became a five-alarm blaze shortly after 7 a.m.
Fire department spokesman Tom Kane says there were no reports of any injuries, and the warehouse in the Greenpoint section of Brooklyn was officially unoccupied. However, it was unclear whether there had been any squatters living in the building.
The warehouse is 200 feet by 600 feet on West Street.
Two marine units were spraying water from the East River onto the flames, and 44 fire trucks were on the scene.
