Every time I have been pulled over it has been warranted. Except for maybe the time when I was doing 47 in a 45 on amwell....but then again I still was speeding.

I know guys who ride with their plates in their tail sections NOT shown. These are the people who give us the bad rap and get us being watched like hawks.

Since the our fearless leader decided to ride in an SUV without a seatbelt and get thrown through a window WE as a community have been paying for HIS mistake. The officer who pulled you over is only doing his job because you did something wrong.

To me, that's some heavy bias without any real reason to have it.
As for me being a police officer, its easy to think that I can do as I please but that is far from the case. I consider myself to be serious professional, and as such I keep my own butt in check when I am off duty. I jumped into this thread to put some realistic perspective into this.
If you sleep at night thinking that I ride like an ass and flash my badge everywhere I go, then so be it. In reality its simpler than that, I don't get summonses because I don't ride like an idiot. My plates are mounted as they should be and the rest of my gear and equipment are in compliance. Its that simple. Pulling a badge is a moot point if you don't get pulled over.
I would like to hear more about the "innocent" riders getting tickets that did not have a reason to. More often than not, most that get ticketed, had a reason to get one. I can't remember too many posts here about guys getting tickets for doing nothing. Almost all of the posts I read here about tickets involved bikes that were not in compliance with lights, license plates ect. The rest are speeding, reckless driving ect.
If you are not in that crowd, then what are you so wound up about?

I'm saying if/when the time comes that you have that luxury to get off the hook be it guilty or not, I don't, and if/when the time comes for me to be involved in a case that's deemed guilty by association I believe i have a justifiable reason for great concern regarding what's happening out there. I didn't make this up, just because it hasn't been posted on this board doesn't mean it isn't happening more than some think. Overall my focus hasn't been on law enforcement being in the wrong, that's what you chose to focus on, my focus was on the negative acts by other bikers that lead to the escalation we are currently dealing with today.

Ron, we all know what you are saying. I think the truth is that if a leo gets orders and sees any type of violation they are pulling people over. Yes, Corzine is making us pay for his mistake, but if he want's to have a fake tax cut and keep all the pork in the budget he wants, they have to get more $$ somewhere. So if its more bs sportbike tickets, click it or ticket, or stalking people buying sparklers in PA and bringing them into NJ then thats they way they make it up. Again, not the leos fault, it comes from above. So next time, don't vote socialist/democrat.

I am very sorry to hear that HWY towed your bike for just an inspection. That's a little too much. The continuation of the problem just shows the amount of bikes out there on the Belt Pkwy that just don't get it. I live 6 blocks from the Crossbay Blvd exit and the Belt has been a constant problem.

I get your point. Unfortunately your first post wasn't so warm and fuzzy and I called you out for it. Had your post begun like this last one, maybe we wouldn't have tangled horns about it.
Enforcement is UP and there are plenty of reasons for it. That said, if you are on the road, have everything in order and play by the road rules. This is something everyone here should be aware of and willing to carry out. I dont like reading posts about guys having their Thursday night ride runied by agressive enforcement. I would prefer to hear about everyone having a good time. Its the reason I participate on this forum.

I agree that its still prety bad. I take it from LI to either Penn ave if I am working the ER ore out to Ocean pkwy if I am working my second job. I will be cruising around 60 or 70(whatever traffic is doing) and guys will pass me like I am standing still, now on the track I can deal with it but out there it pisses me off becasue I dont want to get pulled over becasue of them and 2 I dont need them going down in front of me. These are the typical ghetto skells with their vests, blinged out bikes and tires with a flat center from burnouts and untouched meat on the rest of the tire.

Ok rant off

trafficy situations, I like that one

I was never a big lanesplitter anyway but now I am more careful of picking my spots since they seem to be nailing everyone for that too.
