Default HELP ! Bike doing strange electrical things

Here's the Deal.
I have a new motor (117 HP, Bemisurfer rebuilt Race motor) in my R6.
I have a new battery as of the beginning of this season.

However, sometimes in the middle of a track day or towards the end, the bike will not turn over. It will click like the battery isn't giving enough charge. But then after I bump start it, and then turn the bike off it starts up with no problem with the key without charging the battery.

Mike Mellen (great mechanic) said to trace and clean all the connections. for the BLACK ground to the RED hot, everything...

Anyone else have this problem with an R6 ?

I had that problem with a car once and it was a coroded ground wire from the battery to the engine block...

Do what Mike says!!! You know he's right...

Yea, this is/was definitely a strange problem...start with the ground first...its almost always a lose/worn thru ground.

If nothing loose, it could be a bad winding in the starter, bad starter relay or a loose nut between the seat and clip-ons.

I will do my due diligence this weekend while the baby is taking a nap.
However, Bob, I change the nut between the clip on and seat with a different nut that was still loose, but functional, and it caused the same problem... So that's not it.

I'm thinking of getting a starter from EBAY. to be on the safe side.
