Default Labor Day Bike ride

Hey everyone. I am in the beginning stages of getting some rides planned for Labor Day weekend. Maybe taking a day trip to Lancaster PA. Let me know if anyone is free that weekend and wants to ride. Mostly everyone I know is going away that weekend.

Ok, so I am off for a 4 day weekend, so I am guessing Either Saturday or Sunday would be better for everyone else, but I think a lot of places are closed there on Sundays. As far as a time goes, I think it would be a good idea to meet by 9am, maybe get a quick bite to eat at a mutual spot and head over to Lancaster PA. I know they have several Smorgasbord's over there. For those who dont know, a Smorgasbord is the same thing as a buffet but they dont call it buffets over there. So we can have a nice big lunch / dinner in PA before we make the 3 hour journey back home.

Im hoping a buddy of mine from another forum will be able to meet us to show us around. As of right now he is down for it.

Hey everyone,
My buddy from Lancaster PA brought up a good point. Originally I thought meeting at 10 am and getting to PA at 12 noon, but he said if we got there ar 12, than he would not have enough time to show us all the twisties in the area. So, we are planning to now meet at 7am and get to lancaster by 10. Plus we will be able to avoid traffic going earlier! Is this still cool for everyone?

Ok, since I started it, I will try to bang out all the specifics in this post. If we need to make minor changes as the date gets closer, so be it, but for now, here it is!

Saturday September 2nd

Everyone meets at 7am Dunkin Donuts parking lot
(Dunkin Donuts in Marboro Rt. 9 north side, corner of Spring Valley Road and Rt 9)

After having something to eat, we will hop back on the bikes and meet up with Pauly. ( Pauly is a guy from another forum who lives in Lancaster that will be our tour guide)It should take us between 2.5 - 3 hours to get to Lancaster so we should be there by 10 am as Pauly requested.

We will spend the rest of the morning and afternoon enjoying Lancaster and all the Amish folk and will hit up TJ rockwells per Pauly suggestion for some lunch/ dinner.

Im not sure what time everyone wants to head back home though. I know it was mentioned previously and I am also thinking of staying the night somewhere and heading back Sunday afternoon.

Ok, these details are very rough but we need to get it planned out very early otherwise it wont happen.

tsxguy77: Where might you be meeting up with "pauly?" in PA? I live on the "lap" (collection of roads when ridden in sequence form a loop and over time has been nicknamed the "Lap") near the "Wooden Wawa" here in Chester County, PA and I might be able to catch up with you folks. Please advise. Thanks.

I'm down for this ride. I'm in Hillsborough, willing to meet up wherever. Bump this thread up and keep it updated. And if we have to leave at 4am to hit some twisties I dont care! I want to thrash some backroads. I'm tired of nice slow cruises. I want to shred my tires.
